Who We Are

Who We Are

Established in 1997 by community members of the Ripon Area School District, the Ripon Education Foundation is a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) corporation with a mission to enrich learning for Ripon students, encourage excellence and innovation in learning, support postsecondary opportunities for graduates, and strengthen the ties between the Ripon community and the Ripon Area School District. The Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors.

The Ripon Education Foundation supports:

  ● Grants for innovative and creative activities and resources that enhance student learning

  ● Scholarships awarded to high school seniors to put toward post-secondary education programs

  ● Tutoring for elementary students through the Jennie Long Tutoring program

  ● Management of memorial scholarship funds and restricted gifts designated for special projects and purposes

The Ripon Education Foundation has awarded:

  ● 391 scholarship awards totaling more than $236,300

  ● 86 Innovative Grants totaling more than $66,000

  ● 40 special grants totaling more than $345,700 to Ripon Area School District

Fundraising is essential to our non-profit mission, and in that vein, we offer creative and diverse opportunities for tax-deductible giving. Our generous donors have helped us raise more than $855,000! Making it simple to contribute to the cause, the Foundation offers a number of ways to give, including cash donations, bequests, memorial gifts and gifts of property. All gifts are tax deductible and Foundation finances are managed by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

The Ripon Education Foundation partners with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to manage its finances and to process and document donations. Since 1928, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation has helped donors turn their charitable investments into projects that add energy and vitality to the communities they serve: Winnebago County, Waushara County, Green Lake County and Ripon. They are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, with more than 851 charitable funds and $115 million in assets.
